What makes Barbados the best paradise for celebs?

With an average daytime temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, Barbados is considered a tropical paradise of celebrities from all over the world.


Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados and hometown of pop superstar Rihanna, only takes 8 hours to travel by plane from London and 1.5 hours from New York City. Therefore, this is one of the favorite destinations of celebrities for their summer vacation. 


Diverse tourism services 

With a length of 34km and a width of 23km, Barbados is half the size of New York City. Many tourists hire bicycles to explore the island and Island Safari company offers tours by jeeps. You can also choose to go hiking to Hillaby Mountain to enjoy the vast forests and seas. 

The paradise of strong wine lovers 

Barbados is home to the famous Mount Gay strong wine. This 310-year-old is the world's oldest liquor and visitors can taste it at Mount Gay Center in the city of Bridgetown. Alcohol is amber and often mixed with lemon juice, sugar, water, angostura bitters and nutmeg.


Barbados cuisine is famous for its fresh fish dishes. The national dish of Barbados is Cou-Cou and fried Flying Fish with spicy gravy.  Another traditional meal is "Pudding and Souse" a dish of pickled pork with spiced sweet potatoes.  A wide variety of seafood and meats are also available. 


Cliff is the most famous restaurant on the island, with dinner for two people costing about $ 260 for each. The menu includes scad, Caribbean shrimp, chocolate and strong wine . 

Pure blue sea water 

Visitors can explore a completely different world of Barbados under the surface of the sea. Dozens of diving centers offer underwater experiences for visitors. In the daytime, you can explore the large number of submarine wrecks. The area where the SS Stavronikita was shipwrecked, has formed the worldwide famous artificial coral reef. At night, the glowing planktons along the coast create a spectacular scene. 

The center of super yachts 

Simon Cowell and Sir Philip Green are often seen moving around the Barbados coast on their yachts. Simon Cowell enjoys mooring his super yacht near the golden sand beaches with his friends and relatives on Christmas. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to see many other yachts when travelling to Barbados. 


5-star resorts 

Despite its relatively small size, Barbados has many luxurious five star resorts. Most of the resorts are located on the western coast of the island, with calm water and fine white coral sand. Many celebrities also buy land here to build their own resorts.
