6 common things that mustn’t be combined with alcohol

Alcohol is not good for health, and if you combine it with some of the following foods, which is more harmful to the body, even death.



If you've been taking prescription painkillers, antidepressants or antibiotics, you'll be familiar with the warning "Do not drink alcohol when taking this medicine”. Many drugs do not work well with alcohol, especially painkillers such as oxycodone and hydrocodone.

Taking these drugs along with alcohol can cause dizziness, drowsiness, unconsciousness. Regular use of acetaminophen (Tylenol) combined with alcohol can damage the liver, taking with Aspirin can also lead to stomach upset, bleeding and ulcers.



Antibiotics such as Metronidazole (Flagyl) and Azithromycin (Zithromax), when taken with alcohol, can cause nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, and liver damage.

Some antidepressants taken with alcohol may increase depression, as well as lead to high blood pressure, sleepiness and other symptoms.

Fried foods


Although fried foods do not make you cranky but if they are used in combination with alcohol, they can also cause problems such as abdominal pain, abdominal discomfort because too much fat, which interferes with digestion, damages the stomach and intestines.



Mushroom can cause allergic reactions or gastric pain when taken with alcohol, especially if the mushrooms are under-cooked or eaten raw. Toxins in the mushroom have many kinds which often cause irritation to the digestive tract, damage liver cells, kidneys and paralyzed nerves.

In particular, for those who drink alcoholic mushrooms, the risk of alcohol poisoning is increased by the accumulation of aldehyde in the blood, causing a burning sensation, headache, nausea, palpitations and shortness of breath. If not treated promptly, it is likely to lead to death.

Tonic water


Alcohol and tonic water are mutually opposite when there are some deaths due to mixing these two types of drinks. Some studies in the US and Australia have shown that blending alcohol with tonic water will increase blood alcohol levels.

When combined with tonic water and alcohol, tonic water will deceive the sensation of bringing the alcohol into the body very little and making you drink more alcohol without being drunk.

Even worse, tonic water makes you crave more wine and drink more. Not to mention plenty of tonic water can cause high blood pressure and increases anxiety, sleeplessness, heart palpitations.



Although it is permitted for use in many countries, it is prohibited to mix alcohol. This duo can lead to rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, impaired cognitive skills, motor skills, and driving ability compared to using only alcohol or cannabis.

This risk will be doubled when you mix the two together, the combination of alcohol and cannabis can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, panic, anxiety or paranoia and you can’t control your own action.
