'Wonder Woman 2' to feature the participation of Pedro Pascal

Variety announced that “Wonder Woman 2” recruited Pedro Pascal (starred in “Narcos”, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”, “Game of Thrones”) to play the lead role.

Recently, "Wonder Woman 2" of Warner Bros. and DC Comics have recruited actor Pedro Pascal to star in the film. On the filmmaker’s side, they have not found the expected success with the superhero universe project, starting in 2016. Although the two films "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" have achieved box office success, both dramas have not impressed the critics.

In addition, last year's movie Justice League did not impress on sales or critics. However, the bright spot for DC's film universe is "Wonder Woman" directed by Patty Jenkins, debuted with the public last summer and captured the hearts of fans and critics. The film also earned $ 821 million at worldwide box office, which marked the film's success.

Therefore, some people were surprised when Warner Bros. made a statement on the second season of “Wonder Woman” at the International Comic Con exhibition in San Diego in last July. The sequel to the movie has been scheduled for release in November 2019, and will begin shooting this summer.

Prior to shooting, Warner Bros was still recruiting for the sequel, with the return of Jenkins as the director and Gadot as Diana Prince. Before that, we knew Kristen Wiig would be playing the villain Cheetah, and now the sequel to “Wonder Woman” has found a new member. Variety announced that “Wonder Woman 2” recruited Pedro Pascal (starring in “Narcos”, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”, “Game of Thrones”) to play the lead role in the movie. However, detailed information on the character that Pascal will play - whether it's a character adaptation from DC or a character dedicated to the film and how the character's relationship to the plot is still unknown. It is reported that Pascal and Jenkins have ever worked together in “Exposed” TV series.

At the present time, little is known about the sequel to "Wonder Woman". In addition to Jenkins returning to the director's chair, she also participated in editing, working with Geoff Johns on the script. The scene will be in the 1980s, during the final days of the "Cold War" and there will be the return of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Not only that, Diana will still need more allies in this world.

However, we do not yet know that Pascal's character will become Diana's ally or will stand on the opposition and possibly maybe an alliance of Cheetah.

For Pascal, he has had some steady roles in recent years, setting the stage for him to take on big projects like DC's film universe. So, we don’t have to worry about Pascal's main role in the sequel to “Wonder Woman”, what we need to care about now is who is the character he will be playing.
