Will Smith withdrew from 'The Suicide Squad'
After new information about "The Batman", Warner Bros. and DC also officially announced that the two projects "The Suicide Squad" and "DC Super Pets" would be officially released in the summer of 2021. In addition, James Gunn also officially took the position of director and screenwriter for the new part of "Suicide Squad".
Summer 2021 will be a really busy time for Warner Bros. and DC. "DC Super Pets" will be the first one to be released on May 21, 2021. After that, "The Batman" and "The Suicide Squad" will follow on June 25 and August 6, 2021 respectively.

This information came from Variety's own source, while Warner Bros. has not released any official press release. However, the breakup of Will Smith with the DC Universe was said to have come from the fact that the A-listed star could not arrange his schedule, and both sides were happy although they no longer collaborated.
Although Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the cast, but observers say that director James Gunn would have to use Will Smith and Margot Robbie again after what they showed in the first part.
