Kane, Neymar and other injured stars need a quick recovery before World Cup 2018

The world’s biggest football festival will become less attractive without the presence of top stars such as Harry Kane, Neymar, David Luiz or Manuel Neuer.

Danilo (Brazil):

Joining Man City in hopes of being given chances to make official appearances, Danilo however must play as a substiute player for Kyle Walker and sometimes play on the left. Selecao has many talented defenders, such as Dani Alves, Marcelo, Alex Sandro, and so on. Danilo is likely to give up his current position.

Manuel Neuer (Germany):

Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Neuer has broken his foot three times in the past year and it has taken surgery and plenty of rehabilitation to get it back up to strength.

It first started nearly a year ago when he picked up an injury in Bayern's defeat by Real Madrid in the Champions League. Neuer was back in the Bayern side at the very start of the season, playing in three Bundesliga and one Champions League match, before suffering another metatarsal problem. Bayern said at the time that Neuer, who had clearly been rushed back, 'sustained a repeat hairline fracture of the metatarsal in his left foot' and this time required surgery.

Harry Kane (England):

Kane injured his right ankle in a collision with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic during Tottenham's 4-1 win at the Vitality Stadium last Sunday.

He left the stadium on crutches and scans once the swelling had subsided revealed ankle ligament damage that will keep him out until April. This was welcome news for both club and country though Kane, who has scored 39 goals this season, will need to regain full sharpness in time for the World Cup

Neymar (Brazil):

Neymar went down in a heap during Paris Saint-Germain's 3-0 Ligue 1 win over Marseille on February 25, suffering a hairline fracture to his fifth metatarsal and a sprained ankle. The Brazilian star returned home at the beginning of this month and underwent surgery in Belo Horizonte before beginning a process of rehabilitation that has seen him use a wheelchair.

The recovery is being overseen by Brazil and PSG physiotherapist Rafael Martini, who has worked with Neymar since he started his career at Santos.

David Luiz (Brazil):

The Brazilian star has lost his place in the Chelsea squad since last October. In the last 20 rounds in the Premier League, Luiz has made only 2 appearances. Meanwhile, his two strong competitors, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, are showing their perfect ways of playing. If this condition continues, David Luiz is likely to be absent from the national team.
