'Justice League' star Ben Affleck shares about his third time entering rehab center
It is revealed by Affleck that he was treated at a alcohol rehab center for 40 days and is still in outpatient care. Justice League movie star expressed his gratitude to his family: "The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others," the actor said.
According to the 46-year-old actor, fighting with any addiction is a long and challenging process. That is the reason why he had to spend all time giving up the vice. "Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family," Affleck said.
Ben Affleck said he underwent detoxification to fight for himself and his family.
Last but not least, Batman also cordially thanked those who frankly shared their detoxification process on social networks as that has been giving him a huge motivation to face the problem he encountered. “So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you.” he stated. Your strength is inspiring and is supporting me in ways I didn’t think was possible."
Ben Affleck entered the rehab center twice before this time in 2001 and 2017. Last year, Affleck announced the completion of his treatment. He said: “That's something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront.” However, the 46-year-old movie star relapsed into alcohol addiction and had to continue the treatment this year.
According to People, Affleck was brought to the rehab center by his ex-wife Jennifer Garner in late August. "I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be," Affleck said. "I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do."
