Disney announces the release of “Phase 4” in the next 3 years
"Avengers: Endgame" came out on a mission to close the Marvel's 11-year Infinity Saga journey and reveal interesting clues about “Phase 4”, which will start after “Spider-man: Far From Home”.
As the audience knows, "Spider-Man: Far From Home" to be released in theaters this July will be the first release after the Endgame event, but the future plan of phase 4 is still a question mark when it will start. Not letting fans wait too long, Disney recently confirmed the journey of those films to the audience. Specifically, the studio has just announced the planned release date for the next three years for some of their major franchise films - including Marvel's fourth phase.
According to the announcement, a total of 8 films will be released in the near future in the list of Untitled Marvel, including 2 works in 2020 and 3 works in 2021 and 2022.
Although it is not known exactly what Marvel's plan will be after "Avengers: Endgame", audiences can predict the anticipated works that will be released in the coming future including “Black Widow”, “The Eternals”, “Shang-Chi”, “Black Panther 2”, etc.
As expected, Black Widow will be open in theaters early next year.
After "Spider-Man: Far From Home" was released in July, Marvel's next film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2020, which is expected to be Black Widow. The work is expected to go into production in June this year. Next, on November 6, 2020, it may be the appearance of “The Eternals”, according to rumors released in August last year, or part 2 of “Doctor Strange”.
If "Doctor Strange 2" do not go to theaters in November 2020, it will likely be February 12, 2021, followed by "Black Panther 2" on May 7, 2021, and "Shang-Chi" on November 5, 2021. Coming to 2022, it is possible that on February 18, 2022, Captain Marvel 2 will be released, which has not been confirmed but it has been predicted by many people. Then, on May 6, 2022, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol” will take a turn. The only day not yet counted will be July 29, 2022.
However, all of these predictions are based on a series of upcoming works that Marvel announced earlier. It is possible that the schedule will be changed by new movies or characters that Marvel Studios has never introduced, especially related to Fox's franchise works.
"Fantastic Four" and "X-Men" eventually merged into MCU and putting them on screen is only a matter of time. On the other hand, Marvel Studios-Kevin Feige's president confirmed earlier that it took a long time to release the new "X-Men", but with "Fantastic Four" or another candidate like "Deadpool", this is something that cannot be predicted.
Although the order of the movies may be changed, fans can be assured that MCU's "Phase 4" is approaching us. Stay tuned and get more details from Marvel Studios.
