Captain Marvel – The most powerful superhero of MCU
In Marvel Comics, Captain Marvel has never been a really important character. However, entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with two blockbusters "Captain Marvel" and "Avengers: Endgame", she will be the superheroine with superior strength compared to the rest.
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige describes Captain Marvel as the most powerful character they has ever put on films, which means she has more extraordinary powers than the super villain Thanos, who uses the Infinity Gauntlet to destroy 50% of life in the space.
Before becoming a superheroine, Carol Danvers was an excellent pilot of the US Air Force. Later, she joined NASA with the aim of exploring space. In one contact with the Kree, Danvers absorbed the DNA of superhero Mar-Vell.
She becomes a hybrid between humans and Kree, thereby possessing extraordinary powers. First, Danvers can absorb many different types of energy, from solar energy to electricity. Therefore, she has the same strength and durability as Superman of DC Comics.
First appeared in Marvel Comics, Danvers easily lifted 50-100 tons, tore steel with her bare hands and unleashed energy from her hand to destroy the opponent. Even bombs could not cause her any pain, and extremely low or high temperature does not affect her body.
She can fight continuously for 24 hours without getting tired. With the state of Kree, Danvers is strong enough to resist almost anything. She has the ability to fly at six times the speed of sound, and can even teleport.
Later, Captain Marvel was abducted by the Brood and became a test subject. But thanks to that, she achieved the maximum state Binary. In this state, Danvers can absorb and emit energy with the power of a sun, controlling gravity and electromagnetic fields.
At the same time, Binary allows Danvers to survive in outer space without oxygen, and fly at the speed of light. The trailer of "Captain Marvel" also shows Danvers flying in space, launching a beam of energy to attack opponents.
In addition, Captain Marvel also possesses the "seventh sense", so she can sense danger before the threat becomes a reality. This seventh sense helps Danvers become a talented, undefeatable gladiator because she can guess her enemy's attacks.
And most importantly, thanks to the ability to absorb energy, Danvers can recover quickly right after suffering terrible attacks. In the Marvel Comics, Danvers might be perfectly healthy again just hours after being injured by a nuclear weapon.
Captain Marvel will show off her extraordinary strength in the movie of the same name, released on March 8. The superheroine will also appear in the blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame", released on April 26.
