'Bohemian Rhapsody' rocks North American box office

The biographical movie about the legendary Freddie Mercury and his band, Queen, has amazed the critics when bringing the producers insanely high profits.

Having attacked 4.000 cinemas, Bohemian Rhapsody is expected to rule the North American box office by this weekend when grossing $ 43 million after the first three days.

Bohemian Rhapsody had been predicted to get $ 3.9 million from early tickets sold on November 1. However, the movie about Freddie Mercury turned out to be even more successful than expected. It is reported by Variety magazine that up to 66% of the audiences have given Bryan Singer’s work "excellent" feedbacks.

Earlier this week, observers said that Bohemian Rhapsody could earn only about $ 30-35 million in its debut week. Another disadvantage for the film is the considerable number of negative reviews from the critics.

Almost all newspapers and magazines appreciate Rami Malek's performance as Freddie Mercury, but the overall score for the movie is rather disappointing. On Rotten Tomatoes, only 60% of the reviews are positive. Fortunately, 95% of the audiences welcome Bryan Singer’s film.

In Bohemian Rhapsody, the audiences have the opportunity to witness Freddie Mercury’s journey from zero to hero after the epic performance with his bandmates at Live Aid '85.

Throughout their career, Queen gave birth to many hits. However, Mercury's wild sex life, in the end, made him suffer from AIDS, and then pass away in 1991.

In contrast to Bohemian Rhapsody, the “blockbuster” The Nutcracker and the Four Realms of Disney is bringing about some disappointment. The film's estimated debut profit has fallen from $ 25 million to $ 19 million.

The movie inspired by The Nutcracker ballet stars Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren. Disney is reported to have spent $ 125 million to make the movie, and it's possibly another failure of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in this year together with Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The feedbacks for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms are not promising. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is liked by only 35% of the critics. 58% of the audiences are likely to leave their seats before the movie’s end.

Having heated the box office for the past two weeks, Universal's horror film Halloween is expected to gross only $ 9-10 million by this weekend. Nevertheless, the movie has brought its producers nearly $ 150 million since its premier.

A Star Is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga is continuing to maintain its domination. The film is expected to end its 5th week with $ 165 million.
