6 things in 'Fantastic Beast 2' that disappoint Harry Potter fans
A number of character is not highlighted:
Instead of focusing on Newt Scamander's quest to find the beast as in Part 1, the new movie becomes a "pot" with many intertwined intricate and difficult to understand. New characters appear constantly, but no depth and the old faces are broken up into discrete stories. It can be said that “Fantastic Beast 2” overwhelms the number of characters but no one stands out.
The relationship between Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald is ignored:
This famous couple is expected to have a fantastic reunion in “Fantastic Beast 2”. However, the second movie will only disappoint the audience when not only not seeing Dumbledore and Grindelwald's reunion, but somehow obliterating the special in the special relationship between the two famous witches. With Harry Potter fans, they look forward to seeing more of the power and emotions of Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
The film is made just to continue the sequel:
Originally planned, the Fantastic Beasts series consisted of 3 parts. But after the success of Part I, Warner Bros. along with writer J. Rowling plans to extend the series into five parts. Grindelwald's crime film is clearly a step in the right direction with a rush, lack of depth and deliberately linked to elements of the original Harry Potter series to entice fans.
Fear is not named Grindelwald:
The evil wizard by Johnny Depp is the most anticipated character in this movie. Because this is a character with many mysteries and interesting personalities in the Harry Potter series. Although Grindelwald has a lot of time to express, he can not bring great fear to viewers like Voldemort in the Harry Potter world. In addition, Johnny Deep's acting does not really satisfy the audiences' demand for this illustrious character.
Newt Scamander is still faded despite being the protagonist:
In the new film, Newt Scamander is entrusted with the greater responsibility to discourage Grindelwald's plot. However, he still "keeps up the style" as faded as the previous film. Eddie Redmayne's acting is also annoying for the viewer that he still has a gentle and stoic face from the start.
The appearance of the celebrities only makes the film looks too much:
In the second movie, viewers are particularly looking forward to the appearance of two prominent characters in the Harry Potter series, Nagini (Claudia Kim) and Nicolas Flamel (Brontis Jodorowsky). Unfortunately, in the dozens of characters in the film, they play a very small role. They could even be removed from The Crimes of Grindelwald without having too much influence on the content.
