10 things fans need to know before the blockbuster 'Bond 25' debuts
1. The last time Daniel Craig plays James Bond
After “Specter”, the idea of Daniel Craig will give up the role of agent 007. However, after many rumors, 50-year-old actor confirmed that he would return to James Bond on the big screen for the last time. The British actor said he wants to end his engagements with James Bond with a higher note than “Bond 25”.
2. “Bond 25” directed by Danny Boyle
After Daniel Craig confirms his role as 007, the biggest question for fans of the series is who will be in charge of the 25th. Earlier it had been rumored that director Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, would carry out the project, but the news was rejected when Universal announced that Oscar-winning filmmaker of “Slumdog Millionaire” is the official director. Danny Boyle has worked with Daniel Craig in a James Bond-themed scenario for the 2012 London Olympics.
3. None of the supporting actors has been announced
James Bond's allies, especially Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes), Eve Moneypenny (Naomi Harris) and Q (Ben Wishaw) all return to “Specter”. Most likely all will be back for the sequel. But until now, no one officially signed the contract and confirmed to return. Maybe that will soon be confirmed because “Bond 25” needs to start filming early to meet the release schedule.
4. Christoph Waltz does not return in “Bond 25”
The Oscar-winning veteran actor plays the main antagonist in “Specter”. He was rumored to return as Ernst Blofeld in the 25th movie. Although this character is still alive at the end of “Specter”, fans believe Waltz will return. However, in a recent share, the actor insists he wants to but will not have the opportunity to appear in the coming “Bond 25”.
5. Helena Bonham Carter can play the main antagonist
The main antagonist who will confront the 007 spy in this legendary series is always attracting special attention from the public. The "bizarre" actress Helena Bonham Carter is said to be on the top list for the villain in the 25th. Carter has left a deep impression on many types of characters throughout her career, so the consideration of the manufacturer is noteworthy.
6. Beyonce is negotiating to sing the soundtrack
One of the memorable points of the 007 series is that the music is always well invested. Each film introduces the audience to great songs, such as “Skyfall” by Adele, “Writing on the Wall” by Sam Smith. Beyonce is able to be the female lead singer for the soundtrack.
7. "Bond 25" is not the official title
The name of “Bond 25” is merely a name for the project and not the official name of the film. The name of the movie will usually be revealed during the shooting. One of the recent rumors that “Bond 25” will be named Shatterhand, inspired by Raymond Benson's novel - “Never Dream of Dying”.
8. Distribution rights
Daniel Craig first took on the role of James Bond in “Casino Royale” (2006), also marking the beginning of a partnership between MGM and Sony Pictures. The contract lasted for four films, meaning it expired with the release of “Specter”. Hollywood has fought a fierce battle over the rights of major movie studios. Finally, the independent film studio Annapurna Pictures won the rights to release domestic and Universal developed in the international market.
9. Movies do not have any official pictures
So far with the Bond 25 project, all is just the basics of the return of Daniel Craig and the hand of Danny Boyle, the script by John Hodge. There is not any information, any other definite image of this movie.
10. The film will be shot in December 2018
With a scheduled release date of November 2019, “Bond 25” is bound to be produced by the end of 2018 to catch up the schedule. Shooting time at the end of the year is considered the tradition of the 007 series. Before that, Skyfall also started filming in November 2011 and Specter was also produced in December 2014.
