How to use coffee grounds for beauty?

So far, we only know the use of coffee grounds in exfoliation. But that is not enough.

Coffee grounds contain extremely great nutrients such as caffeine, fat, alkaloids, minerals, magnesium, iron and linoleic acid (which is considered a vitamin) which works great in removing dead skin, whitening your skin.

Removing dead skin

Place the coffee grounds on your face, for about 20 minutes and then rinse with water, you will feel the smoothness of the skin. For oily skin, yogurt can be added before applying on the skin.

Helping lighten and firm skin

You should mix a teaspoon of coffee grounds with egg whites, apply the mixture to the face and leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water to nourish, firm and brighten the skin, shrink pores.

Curing dry and cracked skin

Mix coffee grounds and olive oil, lightly mix the dry, cracked skin. Then cover on a towel, relax for 30 minutes, remove the towel and wash thoroughly with clean water.

Preventing wrinkles

Use coffee grounds, salt, honey, sugar mixed with 1 egg-white and put on the face, massage gently for 10 minutes. Avoid the eye and mouth areas. Then, rinse the surface with warm water. Only use this mask once a week.

Fighting against UV rays

Actually, coffee contains antioxidants, such as polyphenols, which can help protect against ultraviolet rays and some signs of aging related to sun exposure.

A 2015 study of Japanese women between the ages of 30 and 60 concluded that participants with the highest levels of polyphenol consumption, either from coffee or other sources, had few signs of being affected by the UV rays on their face. Therefore, drinking coffee or applying to the skin is a simple way to provide these antioxidants to the body.

Treating acne

The antioxidants, stimulants and chlorogenic acid in coffee can make it an effective acne cream.

Acne occurs when the oil, dead skin cells, and other substances clog the pores, which can be infected with bacteria, leading to inflammation. Washing your face with the coffee can help cleanse dead skin cells and reduce clogging of pores. The chlorogenic acid in coffee can also reduce inflammation and protect against some strains of bacteria.

Being good for hair and scalp

The scientists used a pH scale that showed the hair had a pH of 3.67, while the scalp had a pH of 5.5. However, to clean the scalp, if you use products with higher pH values can lead to damage to the hair. Meanwhile, using coffee for hair can be a great way to help balance the pH of hair and scalp. Shampoo with cold coffee, use coffee grounds to remove dandruff and remove dead skin cells from the scalp.

Additionally, brown-haired people may want to keep their hair naturally shimmering. Try to shampoo and brew with thick coffee for a minimum of 30 minutes. Repeat this shampoo, your brown hair will last longer and naturally beautiful.
