7 adventurous activities in Hawaii
Conquering the top of Mauna Kea
Did you know that the tallest mountain in the world is located in Hawaii? It is known that Everest is the highest mountain in the planet, in terms of altitude. However, Mauna Kea is much higher than Everest, but the majority of the mountain lies beneath the surface of the ocean. Mount Everest is 8,848 meters above sea level. The Mauna Kea peak is 4,205 meters above sea level, but the southern part of the Pacific reaches up to 5,995 meters.
Visitors to Hawaii can walk up to the top of the mountain along a nearly 10 km long path starting at 2,800 meters and climb slowly to the top. If you are not used to exercising, go slowly and do not let your body get dehydrated. The change of altitude from sea level to the top of the mountain can make you feel a little uncomfortable. On the way, stop for some time to see the scenery around. At the right time, you can see the snow on the top.
Exploring the heart of volcano
There are not many places in the world that allow you to explore inside the volcano, except Hawaii. Located inside the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Thurston Lava pipeline allows you to wander through an underground passageway inside the volcano. This is a popular tourist destination for those who love exploring and want to learn about geological formation.
Walking along the Na Pali coast
There are several walking routes for visitors to visit the islands in Hawaii. Among them, the best scenery is the Kalalau Trail along the Na Pali coast on Kauai Island. The 17km route runs from Ke'e beach to Kalalau beach.
Windsurfing in the Kauai Sea
Walking along the Na Pali coast is not the only way to enjoy the beauty of this place. Guests can sail to explore the many hidden gulfs, fishing reserves, and even scattered sea caves. However, be careful because this trip is not for inexperienced people. It requires ingenuity and endurance to go beyond 25 km.
Windsurfing on the North Shore
Hawaii is a paradise for surfing lovers. Here are the great waves that you can hardly find anywhere else in the world. The northern shore of Oahu is perhaps the most spectacular beach with 11 km of beach. This is not a place for beginners to surf, but for experienced people, this is one of the best places on earth to conquer the waves.
Diving into the Molokini Sea
Molokini crescent island is a sanctuary of wild animals and birds. This is an ideal destination for scuba diving lovers. Located about 5 km off the coast of Maui, this volcanic island is home to hundreds of species of fish, sea turtles and crustaceans. This is where divers come to discover the wreck of a ship named St. Anthony.
Fishing in the deep sea
Hawaii also has some of the best fishing sports in the world. Most of the islands have services that take tourists out to sea for fishing. If you do not have time to spend the day on sea, go out to the pier or stay close to the shore for fishing.
