72-year-old woman spent all her savings on a 27-year-old man
Angela and CJ's wedding were celebrated right after the first meeting of Angela's trip to Nigeria in 2015. But now they both have to live apart because of the British government's refusal to accept CJ's visa application.
Angela is a retired taxi driver. Since the marriage, Angela spent her life savings - £ 20,000 visiting her husband and tried to bring him into British citizenship. She said: 'CJ is a very good man who knows how to care for women. He makes me feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world. I will fight so that we can reunite.”
Before she met CJ, Angela was single after ending a 16-year relationship with her second husband. Angela said: “I felt lonely, I and my old husband were was like friends than lovers, so we decided to break up. After being single for 6 months, I saw a nice young man to send friend request on Facebook. I wondered why he made friends with me but I still accepted and he sent message saying that my Facebook photo was lovely.”
“He is very handsome, with big brown eyes and strong body. We talked for hours about family and hobbies. It's like we've known each other for so many years. The only problem is that he is 45 years younger than me and lives far from me more than 8,000 miles.”
Angela has three sons, 50, 47 and 43 years old. She said: “Despite of the age difference, we still feel very good. I can not stop myself having feelings for him. When I first told my son Malcolm about CJ, my son was worried that he might be a scammer, so Malcolm checked CJ and realized we were really happy. A few weeks later, CJ said that he had feelings for me.”
Just one month after they started texting, in February 2015, CJ asked Angela to marry. “I was surprised when he asked me to marry him. I thought he joked. However, he said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Of course, I said yes. His face immediately became radiant with a grin.”
Angela started planning her trip to Nigeria and bought a beautiful blue dress for the wedding that CJ arranged next month. “The journey on the plane lasted six hours, just like a lifetime. I was worried that CJ might not like me. But the moment I saw him waiting for me, I knew I made the right decision. He hugged and kissed me.”
In April 2015, Angela married CJ in front of friends and family at a registered office in Lagos, Nigeria. Angela said, "The ceremony was great and CJ organized everything successfully. It was the happiest day of my life. I felt very lucky but sad to know I had to return to England in 2 weeks.”
Angela was shocked when her visa application for CJ was rejected. Since the marriage, Angela visited her husband twice, once in March/2016 and once in January of 1977. Every trip lasted 3 weeks. She hopedto be with CJ forever. “I'm going to Africa later this year. I'm counting every day because I miss him,” Angela told The Sun.
