Tom Cruise’s stunt injury featured in 'Mission: Impossible 6'
The 6th installment of action franchise “Mission: Impossible” has just released its first official trailer.
Loving dangerous action scenes, Tom Cruise had an accident on the set of Mission: Impossible - Fallout in the summer of 2017as he tried to jump from a building to another. He appeared to land short and crashed into the side of the building, and broke his ankle. Tom Cruise’s accident delayed the filming of the project until the beginning of 2018. However, Paramount decided to release Mission: Impossible - Fallout in July 27 according to the original plan.
Especially in the over-2-minute trailer, the audience can still see that stunt. Because the film crew could not remake the scene, they used the stunt that Tom Cruise was injured.
In an interview with The Graham Norton Show, the 55-year-old actor said that his sudden accident would also be on the big screen. And now, that very accident is part of the film’s first full trailer, alongside other stunts including Cruise’s Ethan Hunt hanging from helicopters, battling a bearded Henry Cavill (sorry, Justice League), smashing into (and being smashed into by) motorbikes and generally having a very stressful weekend.
The official title of the 6th installment is Mission Impossible - Fallout. Released by Paramount, the sequel is set to hit theaters on July 27. In the 6th part, Ethan Hunt's IMF spy agency is sent a difficult mission with a series of out-of-control situations.
Tom Cruise did dangerous stunts by himself in Mission: Impossible 6.
Christopher McQuarrie returns to direct the sixth installment of the Ethan Hunt spy saga. The film also stars Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, and Michelle Monaghan. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby join the cast.
Jeremy Renner cannot star in the next installment of the Mission: Impossible series due to his tight schedules when starring in both Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers 4.
So far, 5 episodes of Mission: Impossible have helped producers gain a total gross of $ 2.77 billion globally. In particular, the 4th installment - Ghost Protocol (2011) and the 5th installment - Rogue Nation are the biggest achievements with $ 694.7 million and $ 682.7 million, respectively.
Tom Cruise is always admired by the audience by his effort in films. He has spent most of his 30-year career doing dangerous stunts. However, 2017 was not a successful time for Tom Cruise. The film star played the main character in The Mummy - a reboot of The Mummy franchise and the opening for Universal's Dark Universe. The film then failed at the North American box office, received heavy criticisms because of the poor content, and recently a series of Golden Raspberry Awards nominations.
