The 26-year-old British singer and songwriter is proud to announce his engagement via social networking site on Jan. 21 when he posted a photo in which he was kissing 25-year-old girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
"Got myself a fiancé just before new year," Sheeran wrote on Instagram. "We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx."

The male singer and his girlfriend, Cherry first met each other when they were 11 in their hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk, England. In high school, they studied together at Thomas Mills School, and Sheeran fell in love with this girl since this time. However, they did not start dating.
Cherry worked in Wall Street, New York, USA in 2015, and Sheeran also embarked his singing career in the United States and had many shows. They met again and began the love affair. Sheeran also invited his old friend to attend Taylor Swift's Fourth of July party in 2015. Because of love, Cherry has returned to England from the UK to stay by her boyfriend’s side.
Cherry is also an excellent hockey player, who helped England U21's win the bronze medal at the 2012 European Championships.

Ed Sheeran has also written songs inspired by love for his fiancée, including Perfect, his latest number one song. The singer said that just having Cherry near him, everything went easily.
On Perfect, he said the lyrics of this brilliant song came from a memorable night when he and his girlfriend visited the house of his friend - singer James Blunt in Ibiza. He said: "Barefoot on the grass, dancing to our favorite song, which happened to be Future's "March Madness"... I booked the studio for the day, and I had that and I was like, right, let me just flesh that out. And the song happened and was sort of finished that day. I knew it was special."
Last year Ed said that he'd finally had the chance to fall in love after taking a break from music. "This has been the first time I've ever actually had the time to fall in love properly," he told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. "I've always got into relationships very passionately - I'm a redhead and also Irish."
He also explained he wanted to start a family.
"I'm ready, let's go - tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around," he said.
