Camila Cabello 'surpasses' Mariah Carey thanks to Havana

After 6 years of singing, Fifth Harmony has announced they will stop working together

Camila Cabello has made great strides in her music career. Havana became the song gaining the most  success for Camila on the Billboard music charts.

Camila's debut single surpassed the success of the song On Sweet Day of Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men since 1996. The song has recently led many categories, especially it topped Pop Songs for seven consecutive weeks (from December 7). Havana also topped the Ryhthmic Songs for three weeks (January 3). Camila became the first female pop singer to dominate the Pop Songs in the past 22 years.

Another success that the singer achieved was her 11-song album topping the Billboard Top 200. This album reached the dream achievement of dominating the iTunes charts in 100 countries around the world after its release.

The career of the 1997-born singer has really developed since she decided to leave Fifth Harmony. She shared that she could not do well when being a solo singer and a member of the group at the same time, so separation is her right decision.

With these overwhelming success, Camila will begin her first tour in North America and Europe. In addition, she will be in Vancouver in April, with music nights in Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago.

She was accused of having betrayed Fifth Harmony although succeeding in her solo career. However, the Cuban-American singer said that people only saw what has happened outside and had no idea about what she suffered when still being a member of the group.

With Camila's outstanding talent, perhaps she needs to make her own career and put her name on the list of world music stars.

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is a Cuban-American singer and songwriter. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which was formed during the second season of The X Factor in 2012, and thereafter signed to a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records for their music releases.

Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of several collaborations, including "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, which reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. After leaving Fifth Harmony in December 2016, she released the solo single "Crying in the Club" to a modest performance. Refocusing her sound to Latin-influenced music, her eponymous debut studio album Camila (2018) debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.
