Royal brides’ makeup styles - simple and elegant

Although all the brides looked gorgeous in their own way, bridal makeup styles of the Royal brides seem to always follow some general principles.

1. DIANA SPENCER

Princess Diana married Prince Charles in 1981 when she was only 20. At the wedding, Diana appeared with splendid beauty and enchanting blue eyes. The princess chose a natural makeup style with her characteristic pink cheeks. In addition, Diana chose the X-Factor brand for foundation and Elizabeth Arden brand for eye shadow. Her short hair was curled backward, which helped to brighten her face.

2. SOPHIE RHYS-JONES

In 1999, Sophie Rhys-Jones married Prince Edward at Windsor. Like Diana, Sophie chose a natural makeup style that even revealed her freckles. However, the face of the bride was still very fresh and energetic. Her short blonde hair was neatly brushed backward, too.

5. KATE MIDDLETON

The wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William was considered to be the biggest event back then. Therefore, besides the wedding gown, Middleton was very meticulous in making up. The bride gave all of her trust to Bobbi Brown when the entire makeup for the wedding day came from this brand. For eye makeup, the Duchess chose familiar smokey eye style, along with natural pink cheeks and neutral-colored lipstick. Her eyebrows were painted bold, making the bride’s face look sharper.

6. MEGHAN MARKLE

During the wedding ceremony with Prince Harry, Meghan chose her characteristic makeup: smokey eyes, natural skin that revealed freckles, dark brows and gently pink lips. Everything was made up by makeup artist Daniel Martin. This was also the natural makeup style that had been predicted before. In addition, the bride chose bun instead of letting her hair down like Kate or Diana. Despite the simple hairstyle, Meghan still looked very luxurious and expressed the royal spirit of the British.
